Celtics forward Jaylen Brown elected as a NBPA Vice President originally appeared on nbcsportsboston.com Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown told the Undefeated's Marc Spears in 2017 that he's "always had his eyes set" on one day being the president of the National Basketball Players Association, and he took a huge step toward that goal Monday. The NBPA announced Monday that Brown was elected as a vice president. Milwaukee Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon and Charlotte Hornets center Bismack Biyombo also were elected as NBPA vice presidents, joining veterans Pau Gasol, C.J. McCollum and Garrett Temple as VPs.
Thursday was a busy day in the NBA, as it was trade deadline day. Add in the fact that there were six games on the schedule and All-Star Game captains LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo were making their selections, and the Association grabbed many of the major sports headlines. Among the standouts Thursday were the aforementioned James, who posted his fourth triple-double of the season, Russell Westbrook, C.J. McCollum and Toronto's tandem of Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet.
