Kevin Durant News

Jonas Jerebko cemented his place at the Golden State Warriors by scoring a game-winning tip-in against his former team the Utah Jazz on Friday, said head coach Steve Kerr. The 31-year-old forward, who signed a one-year contract with Golden State in the offseason, put back a missed shot from Kevin Durant with time expiring to lift his team to a 124-123 victory at Vivint Smart Home Arena. Kerr thinks Jerebko's game-winning play consolidated him as one of the Warriors.

Jonas Jerebko executed a clutch tip in with 0.3 seconds left against his former team to lift the Golden State Warriors to a 124-123 win over the Utah Jazz on Friday. Kevin Durant scored 38 points and Stephen Curry tallied 31, while Sweden's Jerebko came off the bench to score 10 and the game winner in a wild contest in front of a crowd of 18,300. The Jazz built a big lead by scoring 47 points in the second quarter but Golden State clawed their way back into it with a strong second half, led by Curry.

Jonas Jerebko returned to Utah and got what he was looking for. Jerebko crashed the basket and tipped in a shot against his former team with 0.3 seconds remaining to lift the Golden State Warriors to a 124-123 victory over the Jazz on Friday night. Kevin Durant, who scored 38 points, missed a running jumper.

OK, maybe that’s going a little far, but the Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz put on an absolute thriller on Friday night in a game that felt more like a playoff slugfest than the second game of the regular season. The Warriors capped their furious rally with a tip-in from Jonas Jerebko, of all people, in the final second to win 124-123 and erase a 16-point deficit. Jerebko’s putback came on a miss from Kevin Durant, who played a big part in helping the two-time defending champs rally back with his 38 points on a lethal 14-of-25 shooting line.

Opening Week of the 2018-19 season rolls on Friday night with star players such as Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo set to take the floor during a nine-game NBA DFS main slate featuring some big-time matchups such as Raptors vs. Celtics and Warriors vs. Jazz.
